Who we are

Marquee Pickleball Club ("we", "us") operates this website and a pickleball facility in Ottawa, Ontario. We are responsible for the personal information we collect about you.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the club and respond to you.

• Information you give us directly - your name, email address and phone number when you contact us.
• Booking and membership information - collected and stored by CourtReserve, our booking platform, when you create an account, reserve a court or register for a program.
• Technical information - standard server logs including IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.

What we do with it

We use personal information to:

• Reply to your enquiries.
• Manage memberships, court bookings and program registrations.
• Send information you have asked for about your bookings or membership.
• Keep the facility safe and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Booking and payments

Court bookings, memberships and program registrations are handled by CourtReserve, a third-party club management platform. When you book, you create an account with CourtReserve and your information is held on their systems under their own privacy policy and terms.

We never see or store your full payment card details. Card payments are processed by CourtReserve and their payment provider.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this website — which pages are visited, how visitors arrived, and where they run into trouble. This helps us improve the site and measure whether our advertising is working.

These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or use its "Do Not Track" and tracking-protection features, without losing access to any part of this site.

Visitors in the UK, Switzerland and the European Economic Area are not tracked by our Google tools unless they give permission, because storage is switched off by default in those regions.

Pages that embed the CourtReserve booking portal or a Google Map will load content from those providers, which may set their own cookies. Those are governed by the relevant provider’s privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. Enquiry emails are kept while the enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Membership and booking records are retained by CourtReserve according to their retention policy and our agreement with them.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct anything inaccurate, and to withdraw consent to our use of it (subject to legal and contractual limits).

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can access information and use reputable providers for booking and payments.

Children

Junior programs are booked by a parent or guardian, who provides the participant’s information and consents to its use. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without that consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
